Dome Café

On a shopping spree this time at Orchard Scotts Road with Teddy over the weekends. Feeling hungry and thirsty , we went to the Shaw House building on Scotts Road and stepped into the new Dome Café on Level 4. The décor in the café was just like the typical Dome Café at the other locations. Warm, modern contemporary style. This was our first visit to the Dome Café at Shaw House. Outside the cafe was a huge board featuring the Gourmet Pie. Naturally that became my choice and to complete the meal, I added on $3 for an additional Cream of Mushroom Soup. Teddy had his Café Latte.

The soup came first. How delicious it was! The soup was not too thick and just nice for me. Enough mushroom flavour. Yum.

Next came the gourmet pie! It was heavenly! The crust was crispy and blend in so well with the fillings served in a little soup mug. The fillings consist of chicken slices, carrot slices, and surprisingly, barley too! No wonder the filling was creamy and yet so sweet. It was because of the barley seeds. Secret recipe! Deliciously blended and simply heavenly for an afternoon delight…

Little wonder I was on seventh heaven then! Even without ice-creams. Yum yum. I was enticed by the Supervisor later to sign up as a Circle Member with the Dome Café for 3 years. Joining this will enable me to enjoy discounts, coffee vouchers and also getting a birthday treat of an entrée at the Café plus some other privileges. I will be able to have my heavenly Gourmet Pie yet again once of these days and am sure it won’t be too long!!
