Tried a quick snack while shopping at the Raffles City shopping centre basement. The CHIPPY British Takeaway - Beer Battered Fish with Battered Fries. In other words, fish and chips!
The thing about fish and chips is that the fish has to be really fresh for it to be delicious! Yum. This one is indeed and the fish pieces were delicate! The fishes were probably battered with beer as its name is called, hence its soft and delicate texture. Its fried with a layer of flour which I felt were quite soft and crisp. The fries were crunchy and piping hot! We chose the topping of: Mayonnaise & Ketchup to go with the fishes. There is another choice of Salt & Vinegar.
The outlet also serve some interesting snacks like fried mars bars (!!), cheese sausages, calamari and others!! Real nice British mural put up at the tiny little shopfront. The only thing I would like is to have some more seats near the store for the takeaway customers. Understand there are also outlets at Central shopping centre and Tampines Mall too. Worth a try if you are looking for a nice delicious snack! CHIPPY British Takeaway is located at 252 North Bridge Road, Basement 1 #B1-58, Raffles City Shopping Centre, Singapore.
I love fish n chips! This sounds awesome! I love mine with the malt vinegar! yum!

ReplyDeleteyum yum i had it yest! u get good chip for the amnt tt u u pay for! bt the chips are just crinkle fries covered in the same batter...bah! i prefer eaitng crinkle fries on its own w/o the batter...
